Exciting Crescendo News!

Some very exciting news regarding Becca Fitzpatrick's "Crescendo" has just been announce via Fallen Archangel! The US release date has been moved forward!! (So hopefully that will mean the Australian release date will do the same, yipee!). Also, the prologue and the very first chapter are up and available for viewing! Let me say - its pretty amazing! It suckes me right in, but I still find myself in an uncomfortable place regarding Patch...I swear, if he stuffs things up with Nora, the guys and me from the Fallen Archangel forum are hunting him down with pitchforks and shovels! :-)

Don't know about Crescendo? Well, you're in for a treat! It's the sequel to Hush, Hush (read my review and its synopsis by clicking here).

Got you intrigued? Well, here is the synopsis for Crescendo, just to get you a little more excited!

"Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy, Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The further Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim bloodline has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?"

Cool, huh!

Crescendo Cover Revealed!

I know I'm late at posting this, but I've been away :P :D

Here is the artwork for Becca Fitzpatrick's highly anticipated sequel to Hush, Hush!

Thoughts? I'm personally worried that the feather signifies Nora "letting go" of Patch...which I'm sure more than half of the fan base doesn't want! I can't wait for the release of this book and hope that Becca will keep our hearts - and Nora's - intact :)

Review; Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Synopsis;

“His eyes sliced into me and the corners of his mouth tilted up. My heart fumbled a beat and, in that pause, a feeling of gloomy darkness seemed to slide like a shadow over me. It vanished in an instant, but I was still staring at him. His smile wasn’t friendly. It was a smile that spelled trouble. With a promise.”

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora can’t decide whether to fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is in the middle of a centuries-old battle between the immortal and those that have fallen – and the wrong choice will cost her life.

Review; This is a remarkable debut by an author with incredible imagination. Hush, Hush is one of those books you can read and reread over and over again and appreciate the creativity, passion and integrity of a little more every time. I read this book 4 times within the first month of owning a copy!

Nora is a wonderful heroine with real backbone. Unlike some, she resists her attraction (and aversion) to Patch in order to weigh up the benefits and negatives of a prospective relationship with him. Being positioned with her throughout the novel was not just bearable, it was fun. Often, it is so much easier to dislike the female lead than it is the male, but in this case, you couldn't help but adore Nora.

And, of course, what made Nora an even more exciting character was the explosive effects when teamed with Patch. Patch was amazing - witty, good looking (duh) and with a dangerous vibe. I could tell the exact moment he'd changed his mind about Nora and realised there was more to his feelings than he'd care to admit. To accomplish that is truly amazing writing.

Amongst all this are the paranormal elements and the mystery of Patch's real identity. Not to mention, the fears that he may be stalking Nora...or is comeone else lurking in the shadows?

If you love a thrilling read with addictive romance, Hush, Hush will take your breath away. A huge five horse rating from me, as my favourite book of all time! Not to mention the amazing cover art!

Cheers!
